Alyssa Ashley
As a passionate psychotherapy student pursuing my Master of Counselling Psychology, I am committed to creating a welcoming and supportive space for individuals facing challenges with anxiety, depression, and everyday life struggles. With a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Ottawa, I have built a solid foundation in psychological principles and practices that I am eager to apply in real-world settings. My journey in this field is fueled by a deep desire to make a positive difference in the lives of others.
I look forward to gaining practical experience that will not only enhance my skills but also allow me to contribute meaningfully to the well-being of my future clients. Together, we can navigate the path toward healing and growth.
Alyssa will be accepting new clients effective May 5, 2025 at a reduced rate. Please reach out via info@evexiacounselling.org to place your name on Alyssa's waitlist for services. Please note that there are limited spots available.
Rachel Wright
Hi, I’m Rachel, a Registered Psychotherapist dedicated to helping individuals navigate the many challenges in life with insight, compassion, and a good dose of humor. I believe therapy is a collaborative journey—one where we explore challenges, uncover strengths, and build meaningful change together. Therapy doesn’t have to feel like homework—it can be engaging, and even enjoyable!
I’m certified in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and trained in Family Systems, integrating elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Narrative Therapy and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to create a personalized approach for each client. Whether you're exploring patterns in relationships, managing ADHD-related struggles, or working through emotional roadblocks, we’ll find strategies that align with your unique experiences and strengths.
I believe in fostering self-awareness, resilience, and meaningful growth—all while making sure therapy feels real, relatable, and, when appropriate, a little bit funny. Because sometimes, laughter is a surprisingly effective coping strategy.
If you’re looking for support tailored to your needs (and maybe a few laughs along the way), I’d love to connect!
Areas of focus: depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, ADHD, parenting, marital conflict, abandonment, family issues, religious hurts/trauma.
